An 11-year-old boy was listed in serious condition at a Chicago hospital after being found on a street with a head injury, authorities said.
At around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a well-being check along South Kostner Avenue near West Adams Street and located the boy on the street, alone. He was taken to Stronger Hospital and listed in serious condition.
The boy was placed in protective custody, and Chicago police are investigating the case as child endangerment.
