Thrill seekers will hop into one of four authentic Fast & Furious film cars and race around a hillside-hugging track while drifting and spinning in circles when the new Hollywood Drift roller coaster debuts this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal offered a first look at all four of the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride vehicles and the load/unload station for the attraction coming to the Upper Lot of the Hollywood theme park during a media preview on Wednesday, March 4.

Each of the seats in the four Hollywood Drift coaster ride vehicles will have twin headrest speakers for on-board audio during the ride.

The painting features the final street racing scene from the original film in the Fast & Furious saga with the Dodge Charger and Toyota Supra flying through the air.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be the first high-speed outdoor coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood. The park’s two existing coasters include the 2004 Revenge of the Mummy indoor coaster and the 2016 Flight of the Hippogriff outdoor kiddie coaster.

The Hollywood Drift in the coaster name references the 2006 Universal Pictures “Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” action film. Drift racers intentionally oversteer to the point of losing traction while maintaining control of the car.
