This shows a 79 percent compliance rate across several regions of the Kingdom, particularly in Makkah and Madinah, ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality transportation services for pilgrims and other motorists. The authority said that these inspection campaigns aimed to verify the quality of public transport services, examine the technical condition of vehicles, and address violations related to unlicensed passenger transport. This contributes to raising the level of compliance with approved regulations, enhancing competitiveness in the sector, and providing transportation services that adhere to all safety standards. The violations detected by inspection teams during Ramadan included drivers not adhering to the approved uniform, operating without the required permit, failure to meet safety requirements of vehicles, taxi drivers not using their meters, and individuals using their private vehicles for illegal passenger transport. According to the statistical bulletin released by TGA, officials in the Makkah region conducted 64,381 inspections and recorded 16,208 violations, with a compliance rate of 85 percent. More than 685 vehicles were impounded for violating regulations and technical requirements. In the Madinah region, more than 18,262 inspections were conducted, resulting in the detection of 4,200 violations and the impounding of 136 vehicles. The compliance rate reached 85 percent.In other regions, the TGA inspection teams carried out over 39,000 inspections across the Kingdom, including Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Tabuk, and Hail. These inspections resulted in the detection of 4,980 violations and the impounding of 33 vehicles.
