Jeffrey Epstein arranged for a “fake flight” to Heathrow to lure a female student to his notorious island, recently released emails appear to show.
The billionaire sex offender’s personal assistant asked a travel concierge to book a “decoy flight” from Rome to London for a young Italian woman in January 2016.
The student had told Epstein she needed a London flight ticket to convince her parents she was flying to the UK, when she was in fact travelling to meet the financier in the US.
She wrote: “I am going to say to my parents that I am going to London and also my school start [in London] is starting the first week so it’s perfect”.
Epstein’s assistant, Lesley Groff, was then tasked with booking her that “fake” London ticket along with a flight from Rome to Miami – later changed to New York – on the same day.
Emails released by the US Department of Justice (Do) indicate Epstein flew by private jet with her to his private island, Little St James, after she arrived in New York on 28 January 2016.
A return ticket was also booked to take her back to London Heathrow on a commercial flight from the US after she stayed with Epstein on the Island for several days.
Several police forces are investigating private flights taken by Epstein and his associates into UK airports between the late 1990s and 2019, which have come to light following the US Government’s release of Epstein materials.

On 13 January, 2016, the student asked Epstein to buy her an EasyJet ticket from Rome to London “that is going to be close the the hours of Rome Miami because I am going to say to my parents that I am going to London and also my school start is starting the first week so it’s perfect!”
The same day, Groff emailed her to say “I worry about booking 2 trips at the same time as this can put up a ‘red flag’ with the airlines…and they may cancel your flights”, before adding “trying to think how we could just ‘create’ an itinerary for you and not a real ticket.”
On 14 January, after emailing Epstein about the “fake ticket”, Groff asked an Amex concierge to book a “decoy flight” to London, adding “she will not really take it…but she needs to show an itinerary for this flight”.
Groff then asked the student: “can your fake ticket show arrival to London city Airport? or does it have to be London Heathrow?”

“We can’t purchase the REAL return until after she has departed on the 28th because the airlines could possibly cancel one or both return flights if we book before her departure.”
Two days later, an Air France “fake ticket” from Rome to Heathrow via Paris was booked for the woman, who then asked Groff to arrange a Ryanair flight instead, as it was leaving closer to the time of the US plane she wanted to take.
To which Groff replied: “I can’t purchase Ryan Air from the states or with my travel agent. Ryan air always thinks it is fraud when I use Jeffreys CC to purchase a ticket for someone other than him.”

Kennedy International Airport.
Two weeks later, on 23 February, she appears to have travelled on the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris to visit Epstein again after he asked to see her.Groff’s lawyers have previously said their client had “never witnessed anything improper or illegal”.
Probes into ‘UK trafficking’
Former prime minister Gordon Brown has written to police forces demanding that airline employees and staff at nine airports be questioned about Epstein’s flights to the UK.
The Metropolitan Police said it is working with counterparts in the US to establish whether London airports had been used by Epstein to “facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation”.
Bedfordshire Police said it is “reviewing materials” over “private flights in and out” of Luton Airport, while Essex Police are assessing information relating to flights to and from Stansted.

Norfolk, West Midlands and Police Scotland are also assessing claims about Epstein flights into airports.
It is alleged that Epstein was trafficking women through airports as late as 2019, just a month before his arrest on July 19. Epstein was found dead in his New York prison cell on 10 August 2019 while he awaited trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.
Defence Secretary John Healey has additionally ordered a review of military files for any evidence that Epstein used RAF bases for trafficking young women.
