2026 EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL
March 13th – March 15th Edinburgh, Scotland LCM (50m) Meet Central Draft EntriesThe 2026 edition of the annual Edinburgh International is headed our way shortly, with action kicking off on March 13th.
Among the plethora of high-profile talent scheduled to compete is newly-married Olympic champion Adam Peaty, with the meet marking the 31-year-old’s first race back since the 2024 Games in Paris.
The competition comes on the heels of not only his marriage to Holly Ramsay but also after a training stint alongside longtime coach Mel Marshall down under.
Marshall, who has been at Griffith University post-Paris, welcomed Repton’s Peaty, with the swimmer documenting their reunion on Instagram.
“You shaped the man I am today and it was an honour to be back with you for two weeks @melmarshallmassive Great to see you thriving in what you do best! 15+ Years goes pretty fast but I’ll never forget the incredible memories ”
Peaty, who won silver in the 100 breaststroke in Paris, was pre-qualified for Great Britain’s 2025 World Championships team, but opted not to compete instead focusing on his fitness, mental health and the switch to coach Jamie Main.
While he has been off the blocks, fellow Brits Filip Nowacki and Max Morgan have been making some moves on the breaststroke front.
18-year-old Nowacki topped the podium in both the 100m and 200m events at the 2025 World Junior Championships and also established a new 200m breast European Junior Record. He ranks as the 4th-swiftest British 100m breaststroker (59.20) and 2nd-fastest 200 breaststroker (2:07.32) in history.
Morgan also cleared the minute barrier in the 100m breast last year, hitting 59.93 to rank as GBR’s 11th-best ever.
While not a selection meet, the Edinburgh International is a critical racing opportunity ahead of the all-important Aquatics GB Championships. That April affair represents the sole opportunity to qualify for this year’s Commonwealth Games.
