Newly Released Police Video Shows WWE's Vince McMahon in 115 MPH Crash - And His Excuse ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

That was Vince McMahon's explanation to a Connecticut state trooper after police dashcam footage captured the 80-year-old driving his $300,000 Bentley at more than 100 mph on the Merritt Parkway — and then rear-ending another car.

The July 24, 2025 crash happened in Westport, where McMahon's 2024 Bentley Continental GT was clocked at more than 100 mph before he veered into an adjacent lane, struck a BMW, and careened into a wooden guardrail. A trooper had already activated pursuit lights trying to pull him over before impact. Debris from the crash scattered across both northbound and southbound lanes, striking a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion whose driver, ironically, happened to be wearing a WWE t-shirt.

The driver of the BMW reported no injuries, though her car sustained visible damage. McMahon's airbag deployed on impact, though he was wearing his seatbelt. All three vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

McMahon was issued a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely. A judge later allowed him to enter a pretrial diversion program; the charges would be dismissed upon a $1,000 charitable donation, provided he kept his license and insurance current.

McMahon built the World Wrestling Federation into a global entertainment phenomenon after buying it from his father in 1982, eventually overseeing its expansion into TKO Group Holdings. But he stepped down as WWE CEO in July 2022 amid a company investigation into sexual misconduct allegations and resigned again in January 2024 as TKO executive chairman after a former WWE employee filed a federal lawsuit alleging sexual trafficking and assault, allegations McMahon has denied. Federal prosecutors dropped their criminal investigation into McMahon earlier this year, though the civil suit remains pending.
