Meanwhile, on the eve of the match, the team stayed back after the training session a bit longer, to see if the dew comes. For now, it seems that there are no concerns regarding it. Going further in the tournament, the dew control could be used in the semis as well, but there is no confirmation for the same.
That said, in the coming days, the BCCI could make it mandatory, to use the chemical, with the IPL lined up for March 26, 2026. There. dew is also a point of contention. As far as India’s chances in the T20 World Cup are concerned, the team needs to win their remaining two matches, without a fail. Post the Zimbabwe match, they face West Indies.
