2026 Utah High School Athletic Association 5A State Swimming and Diving Championships
Feb. 20-21, 2026 Provo, UT (BYU) SCY (25 yards) ResultsThe Olympus High School swimming teams were mountains that the rest of the state couldn’t climb at the Utah 5A State Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Olympus girls won their fourth title in six years, while the boys three-peated and won their sixth championship in seven years.
Girls’ Recap
Olympus took first in seven of the 11 events (no diving was held), sweeping all three relays.
The team of Sadie Macdonald (27.31), Emma Staskus (28.96), Sydney McElwee (27.18) and Greta Doretto (24.55) first won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:48.00, clearing runner-up Timpview (1:52.00) by four seconds. .
In the 200 free relay, the squad of Vienna Lemmon (25.57), Doretto (24.57), Sophie Wrona (24.19) and , Rainie Moran (23.35) won in a time of 1:37.48, with Moran’s anchor leg marking the only sub-24 split in the field..
Lastly, the Olympus team of Lemmon (54.41), Wrona (53.39), Staskus (53.10) and, Moran (51.84) captured the 400 free relay in 3:32.74, with Moran once again posting the fastest split in the field..
The individual standouts were Springville sophomore Aulia Leauanae and Moran, a junior for Olympus.
Leauanae won the 200 free in 1:54.21 and the 100 back in 54.85, both personal bests.
Moran swam a personal best 2:02.79 to win the 200 IM, and then topped the field in the 500 free with a time of 5:05.29.
Other individual winners were:
Timpview junior Hannah Quinn won the 50 free in a personal best 24.54. Lemmon, a senior for Olympus, won the 100 fly in 57.56. Staskus, a freshman for Olympus, won the 100 free in a personal best 51.68. Timpview sophomore Camryn Tanton won the 100 breast in a personal best 1:01.47.Girls Team Standings — Top 5

The individuals who won multiple events were West Field senior Malachi Villarreal and Viewmont junior Thomas Chamberlain.
Villarreal won the 200 free in 1:42.32 and then took the 500 free in 4:41.59. Chamberlain won the 200 IM in a personal best time of 1:52.70, and followed that up with a win in the 100 fly (50.51).
Olympus won two of the three relays, with Alta claiming the other.

In the 200 medley relay, Alta’s team of Blake Abney (25.08), Noah Stout (26.32), Sawyer Mortensen (23.26) and Ilyan Manriquez (21.06) won in a time of 1:35.72. The 200 free relay was captured by the Olympus team of Thomas Ockey (22.14), Stockton Rogers (21.95), Emmett Hatchard (21.36) and Jack Hatchard (21.58) in a time of 1:27.03. In the 400 free relay, the Olympus squad of Oscar Astle (48.81), Rogers (47.14), J. Hatchard (47.80) and E. Hatchard (47.57) took 1st in a time of 3:11.32. Everett Bushman, a junior from Timpview, took the 50 free in a personal best time of 21.44. Kearns senior Lincoln Hatch won the 100 free in a personal best time of 47.50. Kai Hale, a junior from Skyline, swam a personal best 50.96 to win the 100 back. Henry Heigesen, a señior for Viewmont, won the 100 breast in 57.18.Boys Team Standings — Top 5
