ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Milan and Cortina Winter Olympics were quite a success for Rochester-area athletes, with hockey player Haley Winn and freestyle skier Chris Lillis both coming home with gold medals. After the competition finished, Malanin skated on Sunday in the exhibition gala. He wore a grey “fear” hoodie, part of rapper NF’s merchandise, that was printed by Rochester-based company Tiny Fish. See Malinin’s performance at the gala here.
“We printed this hoodie six months ago. Eight months later, here it is at the center stage of one of the world’s biggest events,” said Antonio Esteves, CEO of Tiny Fish Custom Apparel. “Fifteen years ago, when we started in Rochester, we could never have imagined this kind of scenario happening. Starts here in Rochester, made a connection in Nashville. That person prints with us. There is a global music star, ends up on the ice in the Olympics. This kind of butterfly effect that I never could imagine.”
Tiny Fish has also sponsored “Team Lillis” since 2018. At the Olympics, the father of Pittsford native Chris Lillis wore a “Team Lillis” hoodie printed by Tiny Fish as he competed in aerial freestyle skiing.
