CUBS LINEUP — Hey, the Cubs won a game! That’s fun. Let’s see if they can do it again today with Shota Imanaga on the mound against a team of Padres that I mostly know nothing about (although, hey, there’s Nick Castellanos!). I hope he kills it for them this year.

Here’s a look at the Cubs lineup for this afternoon’s matchup at Sloan Park.

Chicago Cubs Lineup:

Michael Busch, 1B Matt Shaw, 3B Carson Kelly, C Dylan Carlson, RF Chas McCormick, LF James Triantos, 2B BJ Murray, DH Justin Dean, CF Scott Kingery, SS

Michael Busch is getting into his first game of the spring, playing first and leading off. And while the “regulars” often leadoff or bat near the top in these ST games, I do wonder if that’s where we’re going to see Busch to start the year.

In case you forgot, Busch wound up leading off in 52 games last season (222 PAs), slashing .241/.311/.553 (135 wRC+) in the process. That wasn’t as good as he looked in every other spot in the lineup combined (370 PAs): .274/.362/.505 (143 wRC+). But I think there’s a reasonable argument to be made that he could be the Cubs’ best hitter this season. So you definitely want him up near the top.

Setting that aside, Matt Shaw is getting into another game at another new spot. He’s already played right and second, and now he’ll take the field where he finished as a Gold Glove finalist last season, third base.

Dylan Carlson and Chas McCormick keep taking the corner outfield together, as they battle for one of the precious few bench jobs available. And soon, they’ll have Michael Conforto in the mix, as well.

San Diego Padres Lineup:

Bryce Johnson, RF Nick Castellanos, 1B Miguel Andujar, DH Sung-Mun Song, 3B Nick Solak, LF Samad Taylor, CF Mason McCoy, 2B Pablo Reyes, SS Rodolfo Duran, C

Pitching Matchup:

Chicago Cubs: Shota Imanaga, LHP

San Diego Padres: Marco Gonzales, LHP

These are so incredibly sick it actually hurts. Just the right amount of shine. Get yours from @homage before they sell out (and they literally always sell out every spring): t.co/4e0biXBDGP pic.twitter.com/5W4CMGa444
