Brooks & Dunn originally announced their retirement in August 2009 and performed their final concert on Sept. 2, 2010, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, though in 2019 and 2024 they did release two albums, Reboot and Reboot II, which featured re-recordings of their previous hit singles with other country music artists.
Two of their biggest songs—“My Maria” and “Ain’t Nothing ’bout You”—were Billboard’s year-end No. 1 country songs in 1996 and 2001, respectively. Their debut album, Brand New Man, is certified six-times platinum.
After stepping away from touring, Brooks and Dunn pursued solo projects before reuniting in 2015 for a Las Vegas residency alongside Reba McEntire. In 2019, they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
