ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The large powerful Nor’easter that dropped feet of snow on parts of New England and the Mid-Atlantic moves away Monday night, but a northerly wind will keep some lake enhanced snow showers around for us. Most areas see less than an inch of additional snow into Tuesday morning. We’ll also get a brief blast of cold air on Tuesday, with highs in the teens most of the day, and wind chills below zero for a couple hours in the morning.
We’ll then see a break from the snow as the winds shift around with the departing Nor’easter, and the approaching clipper. We may even see some breaks of sun on Tuesday before our next fast moving area of low pressure moves in Tuesday night. This will bring about 1-3″ of new snow, starting around 10PM Tuesday, and ending by 7AM Wednesday. After the low moves away, we’ll see some minor lake snow showers developing, with less than 1″ of additional accumulation on Wednesday.
We’ll then see fairly quiet and seasonable weather to end the work week Thursday and Friday. At this point, Saturday looks like it’ll warm into the 40s with dry weather, with the potential for chillier air and perhaps some snow by Sunday.
