2026 Utah High School Athletic Association 2A State Swimming and Diving Championships

Feb. 12, 2026 Provo, UT (BYU) SCY (25 yards) Results 

The Grand Canyon girls team snapped a nine-year title drought, while the Gunnison Valley boys did something it had never done at the Utah High School Athletic Association 2A Swimming and Diving Championships.

Grand Canyon showcased depth to win by 79 points over runner-up Millard, while Gunnison Valley was 49 points better than runner-up South Summit.

Girls’ Recap

Grand Canyon won despite not winning any events, but rode depth to the title.

Sophomore Liz Chase was 2nd in the 500 free (6:16.83) and 3rd in the 200 free (2:19.37), and junior Maisie Hall was 2nd in the 100 back (personal best 1:12.06) and 4th in the 100 fly (personal best 1:15.23) to lead the way for Grand Canyon.

The individual standouts were South Summit senior Alli Henneuse and sophomore sister Makenna Henneuse. A. Henneuse defended her titles in both the 50 and 100 free, taking the 50 free in 24.46 and the 100 free in 54.91. M. Henneuse won the 200 IM in 2:19.82 and the 100 fly in 1:01.41, both personal best times.

The 200 medley relay was won by Millard’s team of Macie Thurman (35.68), Jessie Larsen (34.39), Savanna Shields (29.18), and Kamryn Iverson (27.83) in 2:07.08.

South Summit’s squad of A. Henneuse (24.54), M. Henneuse (26.32), Rosie Anderson (28.13), and Asti Card (27.83) captured the 200 free relay in 1:46.82.

In the 400 free relay, South Summit’s quartet of A. Henneuse (54.71), M. Henneuse (1:00.25), Anderson (1:05.49) and Tristen Hendricks (1:05.18) won in a time of 4:05.63.

Other individual winners were:

Rowland Hall Saint Mark’s junior Lily Schiffman won the 200 free in a personal best of 2:12.76. North Summit senior Adelia Schupbach won the 500 free in a personal best of 5:56.81, improving from a 7th-place finish last year. Cecilia Hyman, a senior at Rowland Hall Saint Marks, won the 100 back in a lifetime best of 1:03.31 after coming in 3rd last year. Millard sophomore Jessie Larsen was the champion in the 100 breast in 1:16.34.

Grand County, 393 Millard, 314 South Summit, 297 North Summit, 240 Rowland, 197.5

Boys’ Recap

Gunnison Valley won a state championship for the first time largely behind the performance of senior Aaden Donaldson.

Donaldson won the 200 free in 2:00.43 and was 2nd in the 100 free with a personal best time of 52.33. He also swam the second leg of Gunnison Valley’s winning team in the 200 free relay.

The squad of  Preston Waters (24.04), Donaldson (25.97), Ben Walker (24.01) and Adam Jackson (23.25) won in a time of 1:37.27.

The 200 medley relay was captured by South Summit’s team of Nick Henneuse (26.69), Cory Halliday (29.54), Carter McEntire (25.42) and Evan McNeil (24.83) in 1:46.48.

In the 400 free relay, South Summit’s squad of McEntire (51.89), McNeil (54.65), Henneuse (51.23) and Halliday (57.28) won in a time of 3:35.05.

Individually, Henneuse and McEntire, both seniors for South Summit, and Maeser Prep sophomore Aurelio Serpa each won multiple events.

Henneuse won the 50 free in 23.00 after finishing 8th in the event last year, and then claimed the 100 free in 51.75.

McEntire topped the 200 IM in 2:11.73 and the 500 free in 5:15.90, both personal best times.

Serpa captured the 100 fly in 57.41 and the 100 back in 57.93, both personal best times.

The 100 breast was won by Halliday, a junior for South Summit, in a personal best time of 1:03.46.
