Yosemite is under a cold weather advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 4:14 a.m. The advisory is valid from Friday 4 a.m. until Saturday Feb. 21, at 10 a.m.
The NWS Hanford CA says to prepare for, “Low temperatures of zero to ten degrees above 6,000 feet of the Sierra Nevada. Low temperatures of 10 to 20 degrees in the Sierra Nevada below 6,000 feet into the adjacent foothills.”
“Frostbite possible on unprotected skin. Wind chills reaching well below zero degrees on Friday morning,” according to the NWS. “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
