What a great day yesterday was—am I right? The NBA All-Star Game was pretty good, and a ton of other things happened. It kinda got me excited for the second half of the season, knowing full well that the Bulls are in the middle of an unforced tank. But still, we can talk about everything we witnessed and lean into the crazy stuff happening.
Let’s talk Bulls basketball.
© William Liang-Imagn Images Last night was the 2025–26 NBA All-Star Game, and it was good. I mean, really good. We’re talking competition, storylines, highlights, record-breaking play, and most importantly, defense. There was buy-in from the players, despite them not fully rooting for the format. I can imagine Adam Silver begging them to play hard or threatening them with another tournament they’d have to play in or something. But yes, the format isn’t perfect yet. Fatigue caused that last game to be an ugly watch, and some of the best stars on Team World still need to be convinced. But otherwise, a rare win for the NBA. The celebrities were out in LA. And the most popular basketball fan of them all, former President Barack Obama, was in the building. Despite there not being much Bulls representation in LA, Obama was still pulling for Chicago. The first way was by meeting and greeting the only other Bulls representative last night: Benny the Bulls. A link-up we almost definitely needed in this era of Bulls basketball.Nice running into you @BarackObama ? pic.twitter.com/shw020ezxR
— Benny (@bennythebull) February 15, 2026 Also, in support of the announcement of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Barack Obama appeared on the NBC All-Star broadcast and was interviewed by former Indiana Pacer Reggie Miller. Miller asked Obama about his favorite moment from the Bulls’ 90s run. The quick-witted former POTUS delivered an answer that reminded everyone of a very real, now dormant rivalry.“I always enjoyed watching [the Bulls] beat Indiana,” said Obama, before continuing the ribbing with, “You did push off Michael on that one play though.”

— Legion Hoops (@LegionHoops) February 15, 2026 Michael Jordan was not at the All-Star Game. No surprises there. But he was at another sporting event — and he’s getting another ring. The iconic Daytona 500 was also taking place, and the Bulls GOAT, who owns the 23XI NASCAR team, had the winning car. Tyler Reddick was the driver who carried Michael Jordan to the victory, and Jordan was truly elated with the result. This comes while Jordan had been dealing with the 23XI vs. NASCAR trial, and as everyone knows, when Jordan is dealing with off-the-court or off-the-track—issues, a win always seems to be right around the corner. Obviously, Jordan wasn’t the one driving the car, but he felt every ounce of excitement that came with winning the race.“I’m ecstatic,” said Jordan. “It feels like I won a championship.”

— FOX: NASCAR (@NASCARONFOX) February 15, 2026 Kevin Durant, whose team finished second at the All-Star Game(s), was in some hot water before the games. Allegedly, NBA Twitter found multiple burner accounts that could potentially be KD’s. Now, it’s very possible this could be fake, but Durant has been known to do these sorts of things. And based on some of the things leaked, if it is true, there’s some truly unhinged stuff to look at.Yeah it’s 100% KD ??? pic.twitter.com/atHoKhbzWg
— BrickCenter (@BrickCenter_) February 16, 2026 I’m not going to detail everything he said, because honestly, I could legit get cancelled for it. But in a nutshell, it seems like KD allegedly had a ton of strong opinions about every team and player he’s played with, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Şengün, the entire Houston Rockets, Frank Vogel and Devin Booker on the Suns, Nikola Jokić, the Golden State Warriors… basically everyone. The account talks in a first-person POV, trying to establish that it really is KD, but that almost feels too obvious, and it’s why I don’t fully buy it. Another reason I don’t fully buy it is because the account continuously states Ben Simmons as its favorite teammate. And KD and Simmons barely played any real minutes together on the court for that to feel like a true statement. Anyway, for the sake of argument, if all this really is KD, I would love for the Bulls to swoop in, take Jabari Smith from Houston, and save that team’s chemistry. Call me an opportunist, because aside from a few laughs, I am curious to see what kind of questioning KD will be put through over the next couple of weeks. The KD Files FULL THREAD: pic.twitter.com/UIKR3WdC0h
