ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health says a staff member has been put on administrative leave after a social media post that had “racist and discriminatory content.”
In a statement, RRH said the following:
“Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is aware of recent social media posts attributed to an individual identified as a Rochester Regional Health employee that contain racist and discriminatory content. We want to be clear: language or behavior that is racist, hateful, or discriminatory has no place in our organization or in healthcare.
These posts do not reflect the values of Rochester Regional Health or the standards to which we hold our team members. Our mission is rooted in providing compassionate, respectful care to every patient, and in fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for our team members and the communities we serve.
We take these matters very seriously. While we cannot comment on specific personnel matters, per Rochester Regional Health policy and procedure, the team member is on administrative leave while we review the situation.
Rochester Regional Health remains committed to equity, dignity, and respect for all, and to upholding the confidence and trust our patients and community place in us.”
