Saturday, February 7th, marked another special occasion in Chapel Hill as community members gathered for The Hometown Heroes Luncheon, recognizing heroes featured on 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com during 2025. The event was made possible by Hendrick Subaru Southpoint and hosted at the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center. An amazing lunch was provided by Mediterranean Deli and elegant vintage tablescapes were made possible by Southern Vintage Table.
Chapel Hill Mayor Jess Anderson opened the event with words of thanks for the many community members that make our area a better place to be, and that sentiment was reiterated by keynote speaker Sheriff Charles Blackwood and Henrick Subaru Southpoint representative Joseph Rossman.
