HENRIETTA, N.Y. — The Louisiana-based restaurant chain Raising Cane’s is trying to bring its first location to the Rochester region.

Raising Cane’s is looking at the plaza at 823 Jefferson Road, the Henrietta Town Supervisor Steve Schultz confirmed. The company submitted a letter of intent to the town and submitted an application.

The town plans to hold a public hearing on the special use permit on March 18 at the town board meeting. If approved, the construction could begin as early as May, Schultz said. The restaurant would be between Panera and Shame Shack in the plaza.
