The new version of the Lonesome Crow album will be remixed by Grammy-Award winning producer Hans-Martin Buff and is based on archives from producer Conny Plank's original master tapes. Aside from streaming options, the album will be available for purchase as a limited edition transparent vinyl in a gatefold cover and as digi sleeve CD.
Lonesome Crow was released in 1972 as Scorpions' debut album and served as the soundtrack for the German anti-drug film Das Kalte Paradies. Recorded in only seven days, the dark psychedelic album was foundational for the band's later success. Their debut is a noticeable deviation from their later work, which centers around a more melodic hard rock sound in comparison to Lonesome Crow's unpolished, almost progressive rock style.

In addition to their commercial success, Scorpions have earned several notable accolades, including a World Music Award in 2010 and an ECHO Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
