Corner Gallery / Art Center Ukiah
Corner Gallery and Art Center Ukiah will celebrate First Friday on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 5–8 p.m. Corner Gallery will present an energetic, monthlong exhibition of self-curated artwork by Ukiah High School advanced art students. The show features work from Rose Easterbrook’s Advanced Art class, Nicholas Gainey’s Advanced Ceramics class, and Maria Potter’s Advanced Floral, Media Studies, and Fashion classes. Students present paintings, linoleum prints, drawings, collages, ceramics, floral arrangements, and digital and fabric works. The exhibition is generously sponsored by the Ukiah Unified School District.
Additional highlights include the Young Artist Wall featuring high school senior Hannah Kitchen and the MCAA Pony Wall showcasing work by Sarah Scott Falk, Stephanie Reynolds, and Ursula Partch. Behind the gallery, Art Center Ukiah opens Beauty IN the Beast, a lighthearted, multi-medium show celebrating animals and the beauty artists see in them. Live guitar and vocals by Stephen Hahm will be featured throughout the evening.

MEDIUM Art Center
MEDIUM Art Center presents Liminal Terrain, a solo photography exhibition by Mendocino County photographer and filmmaker Bobby Cochran. The exhibition brings together landscapes, portraits, and observational images that explore moments of transition and quiet tension. Cochran’s work focuses on the space between presence and absence, stillness and change, using light, texture, and atmosphere to draw attention to what exists just beyond the obvious.
An opening reception will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 5–8 p.m., during Ukiah’s First Friday Art Walk. The public is invited to attend and meet the artist. Cochran’s background includes documentary storytelling, underground music culture, and long-form creative access, with work appearing in album art, music press, film projects, and advertising campaigns. As a filmmaker, he has directed more than 20 music videos, multiple short documentaries, and one feature-length documentary. Music for the evening will be provided by SpiderMonkey Beats, featuring DJs Alterium. Light food and drinks will be served. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Ukiah Branch Library
Ukiah Branch Library invites the community to join its Art Walk opening on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 5–7 p.m., featuring an assemblage exhibition by local artist Jo-ann Rosen. Assemblage is an art form that brings together disparate, often vintage or everyday objects, repurposing them into new works through thoughtful arrangement. Rosen views each object as carrying its own history and integrity, and her work reflects a fascination with the layered stories embedded in the materials she uses.
The evening will include live music by Clay Hawkins, an all-ages matchbook altar craft activity, and a book sale hosted by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library. The exhibition is free and open to all ages and runs from Jan. 6 through Feb. 26, 2026. The program is sponsored by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library and the Mendocino County Library.
