Sebastian Bach Reflects on Longevity in Rock Music

Bach says performing live is still one of his favorite parts of being an artist. He explained that his shows are shaped by the crowd’s energy. He has been performing this way for nearly four decades and says he still feels a deep connection with fans.

During recent shows, Bach said crowds in places like Australia inspired him to perform longer sets, sometimes lasting two and a half hours. He believes fans play a big role in shaping each concert, which helps keep his shows fresh and exciting.

His newest album, Child Within the Man, has received strong praise from critics. Many reviewers noted that Bach’s powerful voice and songwriting skills remain strong even after decades in music. The album includes tracks like “(Hold On) To The Dream,” which was praised as an inspiring anthem about never giving up.

“You wouldn't believe how many strangers walk up to me in public and say, ‘I love you, man,’” he said. “That never gets old.”

Looking ahead, Bach plans to continue touring and making new music. While he is not ready to start recording another rock album right away, he revealed that he has a dream project he hopes to complete one day, a traditional Christmas album.

“It’s going to be traditional, classical,” Bach said, noting that he wants to recreate the type of music he sang as a child. “That’s something I’ve always, always in my heart wanted to do.”
