Amanda Vileikis from Lemont, Illinois has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Vanderbilt beginning in fall 2026.
“I’m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Vanderbilt University where I will continue my academic and athletic career! I would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for supporting me along the way. I’d also like to give a huge thank you to Coach Jeremy, Coach Chelsea, and the rest of the Vanderbilt staff for this incredible opportunity. Anchor down!”
Vileikis swims for FMC Aquatic Club and is a senior at Lemont High School. She most recently competed at the Circle City Classic in Indianapolis. There she finished 2nd in the 200 breast in a 2:20.94 and 7th in the 100 breast in a 1:06.35. The meet is typically prelims and finals but had to be held timed finals this year due to weather concerns.
In December, Vileikis competed at Winter Juniors-East. There she swam season best times in both breaststroke events. She finished 49th in the 200 breast with a 2:18.42 and 68th in the 100 breast in a 1:04.58.
Vileikis’ Best SCY Times Are:
100 breast: 1:02.88 200 breast: 2:17.78 400 IM: 4:30.08The Vanderbilt women finished 13th out of 13 teams at the 2025 SEC Championships with 165 points. Arkansas was 12th with 244 points.
It took a 1:01.00 in the 100 breast and a 2:12.89 in the 200 breast to make finals at the 2025 SEC Championships. Vanderbilt had no finalists in either breaststroke events at the meet as Emily Constable was the highest finisher with a 1:02.44 for 37th in the 100 breast and 2:18.05 in the 200 breast for 44th. Melissa Cowen is the top breaststroker so far this season as she swam a 1:01.58 in the 100 breast and a 2:12.66 in the 200 breast at midseason.
Vileikis will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Amanda Vu, Kelly Qi, Matilda White, Sophie Pham, Sydney Green, Shayna Elgart, and Brooke Miller.
