BUFFALO, N.Y. — Barry Manilow is coming to Buffalo this spring.
Manilow will be heading to the KeyBank Center on Wednesday, April 22, during his tour which kicks off on Feb. 27 in Tampa, Fla.
In December, it was announced that Manilow needed surgery to remove a cancerous spot on his lung. Due to the surgery, ten of his shows originally set for January were rescheduled for February.
News10NBC’s affiliate in Buffalo says Manilow will celebrate music teachers in the Buffalo area with the Manilow Music Teacher Award. This award honors educators who help the lives of students through music.
The teacher who has the most online votes will be recognized at the show on April 22. The teacher will also get a $10,000 prize, $5,000 in cash, and $5,000 in “Manilow Bucks” for new classroom instruments.
Voting opens on Feb. 19 and ends on March 19.
Artist presale for Manilow’s Buffalo show starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. and ends on Thursday at 10 p.m. Local and partner presales runs from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday.
