DAVOS — Saudi Arabia concluded its participation in the 56th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos with the announcement that the Kingdom will host the World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, titled “Building Common Ground and Reviving Growth,” in Jeddah on April 22–23, 2026. The platform introduced NextOn, a new thought leadership series showcasing perspectives from across the Kingdom, and hosted more than 20 sessions featuring ministers, international executives and global experts. Discussions were organized around six themes aligned with Saudi Vision 2030: Bold Vision, Insights for Impact, People and Human Capability, Quality of Life, Investment and Collaboration, and Welcoming the World, delivered in partnership with national entities and initiatives. Saudi House attracted more than 10,000 visitors during the week, double the number recorded at the previous edition, highlighting the Kingdom’s economic, social and human transformation, as well as investment opportunities emerging under Vision 2030. Several agreements and initiatives were announced during the forum. HUMAIN and the National Infrastructure Fund signed a Strategic Financing Framework Agreement of up to $1.2 billion to support the expansion of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure projects in the Kingdom, including the development of up to 250 megawatts of hyperscale AI data center capacity. The UN Convention to Combat Desertification COP16 Presidency launched the Business4Land Champions’ Council, a high-level coalition bringing together business leaders, investors and policymakers to accelerate land restoration, combat land degradation and strengthen drought resilience. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, announced the Lighthouse Operating System, a country-level framework developed with the WEF Advanced Manufacturing and Production Centre to accelerate manufacturing transformation, diversify the economy and position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for advanced manufacturing and logistics. Saudi Arabia’s participation concluded with remarks by Economy and Planning Minister Faisal Alibrahim, who said no single forum could resolve all global challenges, but stressed that platforms such as the World Economic Forum are vital to fostering cooperation. He emphasized the need to unlock the global economy’s full potential and confront complexity with confidence and resolve, recalling the words of the late King Abdulaziz: “Strength, strength, may Allah not bless weakness.”
