The low-profile setting and intimate layout are what really drew me in. No long waits by the elevator bank because this charming resort building boasts only two stories.
Admittedly, I’m not a big fan of sprawling resorts where you must hop in a buggy just to grab breakfast. While it’s a perfectly fine and convenient option, I prefer to walk without waiting for a ride—and this resort makes that possible. For example, I was able to easily walk to the two restaurants, spa, and the beach, which is only steps away.
For travelers over 50 and those with mobility issues, the property’s compact size makes getting around less overwhelming. Again, for those who don’t care about skipping their steps, they can easily request a buggy for fast and reliable transport.
A Trio of Pools

The resort’s chic black-and-white striped lounges and umbrellas add old Hollywood glamour that’s classic and timeless. Plus, it complements the crystal blue pool and cotton candy-colored skies if you’re lucky to catch the sunset. What’s more, the pool leads to the lush, Versailles garden.

Plus, the French-inspired Versailles garden presents an opportunity for guests to escape and take in all the greenery and natural surroundings. Perfect for meditation and serenity, the garden serves as a stunning backdrop.
Although I only had a brief morning walking through the garden, it was more than enough time to luxuriate and bask in its essence.
As I’ve gotten older, I enjoy being pampered more than ever before. I don’t know if my desire for massages is due to more aches and pains or just the idea of being indulgent. Either way, it’s a luxury that I splurge on whenever I get the chance.

No matter where you fall on the activity spectrum, there’s something to suit your style. Again, I enjoy low-energy, slower-paced activities while on most vacations. So, I was ecstatic to learn that the resort offered complimentary bicycles. One afternoon, I checked out an off-white bike with a charming basket and rode around the resort listening to the waves crashing against the shore.
The best part? The ride was easy and not too long. That’s again, thanks to the compact size of the resort. There’s no chance of getting lost or going too far off the property grounds. On the flipside, if you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can ride over to the famous Atlantis Bahamas resort.
The resort also has a tennis court and golf course. Plus, the concierge can also book excursions or transportation to nearby attractions like the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas. I spent an afternoon admiring artwork from local and international artists.
