Friday, January 23rd – Sunday, January 25th Geneva, Switzerland LCM (50m) SwimSwam Preview Meet Central Entries Live Results LivestreamThe 2026 Geneva International Challenge kicked off in Switzerland today with multiple Olympians in the water vying for meet titles and season-best times.
Olympic medalist Roman Mityukov of the host nation dove in for the men’s 100m freestyle, where the 25-year-old clocked a winning effort of 49.83.
That held off Youssef Ramadan, who posted the only other sub-50-second effort of the field in 49.85. Gianluca Messina of Italy rounded out the podium in 50.29.
The women’s edition of the 100m free saw Belgian national record holder Florine Gaspard get it done for gold, hitting 56.39 for the fastest time of the field.
Portuguese swimmer Ema Conceicao was next to the wall in 56.33, followed by Emma Wood of Scotland, who also landed on the podium in 56.73, good enough for bronze.
Olympic medalist Caspar Corbeau of the Netherlands proved too quick to catch in the men’s 200m breaststroke, with the former Texas Longhorn turning in a time of 2:11.44 to beat the field by over three seconds.
Noah De Schryver hit 2:14.70 for silver and Andrea Prapugicu bagged the bronze in 2:15.25
Visiting Italian ace Anita Gastaldi took down the meet record in the women’s 200m IM, registering a winning result of 2:12.19. That erased her own former meet mark of 2:12.84 logged at the 2025 edition of this competition.
Tonight, Spanish swimmer Alba Vazquez Ruiz reaped silver in 2:13.11 followed by Italy’s Lisa Angiolini who posted 2:14.90 for the bronze medal.
