In 2025, the 10 priciest home sales in the Denver area ranged from $8.5 million to a record-breaking $17 million.
The properties themselves, meanwhile, ranged from Castle Rock to Denver — but Cherry Hills Village accounted for half the spots.
According to data from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, 5,567 properties sold for at least $1 million in 2025 in the 11-county region the association considers the Denver metro area. Those sales totaled $9.1 billion.
That represented a 5% increase in the number of properties sold and a 7% increase in the overall value of luxury home sales compared with 2024.
Here are the top 10, according to MLS data.
No. 1: S. Denice Drive in Cherry Hills Village: $17 million

Details: South Denice Drive LLC purchased the 22,000-square-foot home on 2 acres for $17 million Nov. 20. The home has six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Outside, there’s a pool and tennis court.
Listed for $20 million in April, the price dropped to $18 million in May. The seller bought the property for $5.3 million in 2016 and completely renovated it.
No. 2: S. Elizabeth St. in Denver: $15 million

Details: The 12,000-square-foot Polo Club home on S. Elizabeth St. sold for $15 million Jan. 31 to Cornichon LLC.
The seller, HammerQ LLC, bought the 4.3-acre property in December 2021 for $10.1 million. Wendy Lee of Kentwood Real Estate, representing the seller, told BusinessDen that the transaction was a land sale.
No. 3: Sunset Blvd. in Boulder: $14.5 million

The 7,200-square-foot mansion has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and sits on nearly half an acre with Flatiron views. The buyer was the Dru A. Schmitt Revocable Trust.
No. 4: S. Lafayette St. in Cherry Hills Village: $10.2 million

Details: Trevor Gallup and Lynn Honderd sold their Cherry Hills home for $10.2 million after purchasing it for $4.6 million in October 2020.
The 11,000-square-foot mansion built in 2002 features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms on 2.5 acres. It was listed Feb. 20, went under contract March 10, and Ice Blue Roses LLC closed the sale April 30.
No. 5: Steele St. in Denver: $10.1 million

Details: The Cherry Creek penthouse owned by the estate of venture capitalist George A. Wiegers sold for $10.1 million — $350,000 over asking.
The Laurel Cherry Creek property sparked a bidding war, going under contract just three days after its Sept. 15 listing. Hoops Trust, which lists an address in the San Francisco Bay Area, closed on the penthouse Oct. 8.
The 4,761-square-foot unit has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and terraces on three sides.
Wiegers, founder and CEO of Wiegers Capital Partners and former chairman of Hart Energy, died Nov. 24, 2024. He purchased the unit for $6.7 million in June 2019.
No. 6: Evans Ranch Road in Evergreen: $10 million

Details: The 667-acre estate on Evans Ranch Road in Evergreen sold for $10 million July 1.
Dubbed Captain’s Rock Ranch, the property features an 11,376-square-foot log and stone mansion built in 1995 with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It includes an indoor riding arena with eight stalls and a refurbished 1900s schoolhouse.
Brent Redstone and Anne M. Vanderwerken sold the property to Captains Rock Ranch LLC.
Redstone is the son of late media mogul Sumner Redstone, who built the Paramount Global empire. The couple bought a mansion near Asheville, North Carolina, for $9.6 million in 2023.
No. 7: E. Stanford Drive in Cherry Hills Village: $9.8 million

The six-bedroom, 11-bath home was built in 2012, a year after the property sold for $975,000.
Dragons Buddha Trust of Minneapolis purchased the home at list price from the Laura Anne Smallen Joint Living Trust and the Lawrence Henry Smallen Joint Living Trust.
No. 8: S. Downing St. in Cherry Hills Village: $9.7 million

The Shane L. Cordes Revocable Trust and Jennifer Lynn Cordes Revocable Trust purchased the home for $9.7 million in May.

Details: Former telecom executive Larissa Herda and her husband, Stephen, sold their Castle Pines clifftop home for $8.5 million in September.
The couple bought the 8,240-square-foot mansion on Cliffgate Lane for $2.1 million in 2006 and listed it for $8.8 million in August. The sale closed Sept. 15.
Larissa Herda was the leader of TW Telecom when it merged with Level 3 in 2014.
The home features five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The buyer was Delaware-based JTCO Holdings LLC.
