The Last Ten Seconds of Life's record label, Metal Blade Records, announced on Instagram this Thursday that the deathcore metal band will be releasing their eighth studio album, The Dead Ones, on April 17. In addition, they released the title track and lead single on the same day.
Formed in 2010 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, The Last Ten Seconds of Life (or TLTSOL for short) released their debut album Know Your Exits a year after forming, as well as going on tour extensively. Since then, the band released six more studio albums and gone through multiple lineup changes. Its current members are Wyatt McLaughlin, Tyler Beam, Andrew Petway and Dylan Potts. McLaughlin is the only original member from the band left.

"Everyone took what we learned from the past two releases and assembled what we thought would bring out the best of us. We examined all of [our] past work and focused on how our fanbase digested and connected with our music — from the flow of structure all the way to every single word that was used."
In addition, multiple collaborations and features are set to take place in The Dead Ones. Signs of The Swarm's David Simonich will appear on a song titled "Make It To Heaven," while former Fit For An Autopsy vocalist Nate Johnson is featured on "Rat Trap." Meanwhile, Alan Grnja of Distant features on "Dollar To A Dime," and longtime fans will recognize original TLTSOL vocalist Storm Strope appearing on "XXXXXXXXXX."
