Hummer and Zenitz reported that the Blue Devils “have concerns” about him doing so after he threw for the second-most passing yards (3,973) and passing touchdowns (34) in FBS this season.

He reported that Duke believes Mensah’s contract with the school gives the Blue Devils Mensah’s exclusive NIL rights, and that only they can cancel them. Mensah would not be able to earn money through a revenue-share agreement from another institution unless Duke released him from his deal.
