Candace Cameron Bure admitted that not all parts of her marriage to Valeri Bure have been rosy.
“Val and I next year will be 30 years married, and it’s definitely been a roller-coaster,” Cameron Bure, 49, told cohost Madi Prewett during the Tuesday, January 13, episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast” when asked if she’s ever felt “stuck.”
Cameron Bure revealed there have been “lots of highs and there’s been some really low lows” throughout their relationship.
“And I know that during some of those low times, I wouldn’t even say it’s low,” the Fuller House actress continued. “You’re just kind of, like, sitting in the shallow of the valley. Where you’re like, ‘This isn’t the best, but that’s just life.’ We’ll just kind of go through it.”

Cameron Bure explained, “You just feel stuck, and yet, for us, we didn’t have either the confidence or just the straight-up courage to be honest enough with each other to say the really hard things because I know they’re gonna hurt your feelings and I know you’re gonna hurt my feelings by hearing it, by saying it. Those have been stuck moments in my life, and then sometimes you got to reach the pit to get pulled out of it and kind of hit the bottom of that. I know that we can feel stuck. We want to get unstuck.”
Cameron Bure said she has felt “that nagging feeling, and you just know that something’s just not right, but you can’t quite put your finger on it.”
“You know that you want your life to change, but you don’t know where to start,” she continued. “You don’t even know what to look for and what move to start making, and then when you do have a family, you have a husband, have kids, it’s like, again, I just know that something isn’t right in my life, and I want to move it over on a different track, but how do I start, and how do I get my family on that track?”
Cameron Bure’s regular podcast listeners are no strangers to her candidly sharing the ups and downs of her marriage and personal life. Jason Kempin/Getty Images“Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage,” the Home Sweet Christmas actress said during a July 2025 episode of her podcast. “And we were like, ‘I don’t know, don’t think … we’re gonna make it through.’ But at one point, Lev preached, like, a 45-minute sermon on marriage to us. Just had his Bible open on the couch and just talked about it.”
“And I’ll never forget, ‘cause he said, ‘You know, I know I haven’t been married. I’m just a young kid,’” Cameron Bure remembered. “‘And so it’s probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young [who] never experienced it before. But I don’t need to be married to know what the word of God says.’”
Cameron Bure said Lev “was such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind it,” reiterating to her and Val that they “raised some pretty good kids.” (Lev married Elliott Dunham in early 2024.)
After doling out helpful advice to his parents, Lev has since continued to use his voice in ministry. Cameron Bure shared a clip via Instagram of Lev preaching a church sermon last month, and the mom of three could be heard saying “Amen” in the background.
