They ran, jumped, and dove in for a cause.
More than a hundred volunteers were “Freezin’ for a Reason” in the cold water of Mission Bay at Make-A-Wish San Diego’s inaugural Polar Plunge on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Catamaran Resort Hotel.
The event raised more than $40,000 for the organization.
“Every splash brings hope to a child dealing with illness,” said Suzanne Husby, chief executive officer at Make-A-Wish San Diego. “It’s a great way to start the year — surrounded by community and supporting wishes for local kids facing unimaginable challenges.”
