ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Taye Diggs and the band The Skycoasters are set to be inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame in 2026.
Diggs, a graduate of Rochester’s School of the Arts and Syracuse University, gained fame through roles in “Rent,” “Private Practice,” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back.”
In a historic first, The Skycoasters will be inducted as “local legends,” a new category in the Hall of Fame. The band is being recognized for more than 50 years together.
The rest of the “Class of 2026” inductees will be announced in the coming weeks. The induction concert and ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 26 at the Eastman Theatre.
