Sectionals finalist Hannah Wilson has announced her verbal commitment to compete for Pennsylvania State University beginning in the fall of 2026.

The New Jersey native is currently a senior at Blair Academy and has been a member of her school’s varsity swimming and diving team all four years. Wilson also trains year-round with Madison Area YMCA Mariners, where she primarily specializes in free, back and IM.
At the 2025 Speedo Sectionals in Ithaca, Wilson posted a series of fast swims and logged four new personal best times over the course of the weekend. She took 3rd in the 1650 free (17:04.27 – PB), 5th in the 500 free (4:56.32 – PB) and 200 back (2:00.16 – PB), 14th in the 200 free (1:51.66) and 22nd in the 100 back (57.10). She also placed 8th in the 400 IM (4:28.39) after setting a best time of 4:28.10 during prelims and 22nd in the prelims of the 200 IM (2:08.58) before opting out of finals in that event.
Wilson turned in a handful of strong performances at the Winter Junior Championships – East in December. She threw down a lifetime best time in the 200 back (1:59.91), placing 44th overall. She also contested the 100 back (57.92 – SB), 500 free (5:00.23) and 1000 free (10:19.24 – SB).
The following week, Wilson clocked yet another stream of top times at the EEX Holiday Classic XXXVIII. She took the runner-up spot in the 200 free (1:50.96) and placed 6th in the 100 back (56.96) and 13th in the 50 free (24.49), setting season-best times in each event. She also took on the 100 free (52.39 – SB) and the 200 IM (2:08.20).

To earn a second swim at the 2025 Big Ten Conference Championships, it took times of 1:47.11/4:46.00 in the 200/500 free, 1:57.84 in the 200 back, 1:59.66 in the 200 IM and 4:14.72 in the 400 IM, putting Wilson outside the cutoff in each of her top events.
On the team itself, Wilson would have ranked 1st in the 200 back last season, 2nd in the 500 free and 3rd in the 200 free, 1000 free and 1650 free, setting her up to be a strong contributor for the Nittany Lions.
Wilson is currently set to be joined in the pool next season by Kate Fedor, Gabi Abruzzo, Sara McNabb and Hailey Marinovich, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
