1. Sierra Canyon (15-1): Trailblazers escape St. Francis and Notre Dame in the opening week of Mission League play. Hoophall Classic coming next weekend in Springfield, Mass.
2. Harvard-Westlake (19-2): Wolverines blew out Chaminade and Crespi this past week. Alemany and Loyola coming this week. Sierra Canyon on Jan. 21.
3. Notre Dame (13-6): Knights start Mission League play 0-2 with a stunning loss to Loyola and narrow loss to Sierra Canyon. NaVorro Bowman had 36 points on ESPN2.
4. Crespi (14-7): Celts drop after a disappointing 25-point loss to Harvard-Westlake. Home game against St. Francis Tuesday that will test Crespi’s resilience.
5. St. Francis (17-3): St. Francis has a chance to leapfrog Crespi with a win in Encino Tuesday.
6. Village Christian (15-5): Crusaders erased a 12-point deficit earlier in the week to beat Heritage Christian. Will Conroy Jr. is the best freshman in California.
7. Chaminade (19-2): Eagles lost to Harvard-Westlake big, but bounced back with a quality win over Loyola which beat Notre Dame early last week in a stunner.
8. Oaks Christian (17-3): The Lions take down Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks, which makes Wednesday’s showdown with Calabasas a big-time game.
9. Calabasas (14-5): Coyotes take the Marmonte League by storm with wins over Thousand Oaks and Westlake in the opening week. Johnny Thyfault and Calvin Goetz played big roles.
10. Thousand Oaks (16-2): The Lancers are losing steam after a 16-0 start, they drop two straight in the Marmonte League.
11. Legacy Christian (13-8): The Lions move up after a quality win over Mira Costa on Saturday.
12. Knight (14-3): Hawks are 6-0 in the Golden League with a game against Eastside on Wednesday. Eastside is 5-0 in league.
13. Heritage Christian (12-5): The Warriors are young, starting two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior. Houston Rolle is averaging more than 20 points per game since becoming eligible after Christmas.
14. Golden Valley (12-6): The Grizzlies are 5-0 in the Foothill League with Valencia and West Ranch on the slate this week.
15. Westlake (13-7): Warriors have a big opportunity in a Marmonte League contest with Thousand Oaks this week.
