Bank of America Rebuild Solutions

The bank’s December 2025 new program to help those who lost their homes in the January 2025 fires to help their mortgage clients with the “looming liquidity crunch — when insurance money stops subsidizing rental housing as mortgage payments resume following the end of forbearance,” from a press release, to preserve cash flow while rebuilding their home. Three features: Extends forbearance by up to two additional years beyond the current 12-month forbearance period; Provides construction gap financing for rebuild costs once insurance proceeds run out; Preserves the existing lower interest rate on the underlying mortgage. Bank of America has options also for those who aren’t mortgage clients with BofA.
