The College Football Playoff semifinals are set.

Platforms such as Kalshi have already set prediction markets for both semifinal matchups. Kalshi is a prediction market that’s legal in all 50 US states.

Let’s take a look at how Kalshi’s marketplace is currently forecasting both semifinal contests.

CFP prediction markets

Here’s what the market looks like for Ole Miss vs. Miami:

Both Ole Miss and Miami pulled off big upsets in order to reach this stage of the competition. The Rebels earned a comeback win over Georgia on Thursday night in the Sugar Bowl. On the other side, Miami led wire-to-wire against Ohio State in one of the most memorable upsets in CFP history.

Kalshi‘s market has Miami as a slight favorite over the Rebels. Miami brings an elite defensive front to this matchup that has caused havoc for both Texas A&M and the Buckeyes in the first 2 rounds of the CFP. Offensively, running back Mark Fletcher Jr. has been playing the best football of his college career and he’s made a big impact on Miami’s offense.

Ole Miss has been excellent offensively without Lane Kiffin through its College Football Playoff run. The Rebels averaged an impressive 6.5 yards per play in the win over Georgia at the Sugar Bowl.

In the other semifinal, Oregon will battle Indiana in a rematch of a game that was played in Eugene earlier this year. Here’s what Kalshi’s market looks like for that game:

Indiana crushed Alabama 38-3 on Saturday, handing the Tide their worst-ever postseason loss by margin-of-defeat. The Hoosiers are the lone remaining undefeated team in the field and have posted elite efficiency numbers on both sides of the ball this season.

Oregon cruised to a 23-0 win over Texas Tech in its quarterfinal, although that game was closer than the final score makes it seem. The Ducks’ offense struggled mightily against the Red Raiders. Oregon failed to average 4 yards per play, but was still able to put up points in large part thanks to 4 Texas Tech turnovers. Oregon’s defense was dominant, but the Ducks will have some work to do on the offensive side of the ball before they take on the Hoosiers.

Ole Miss and Miami will battle on Thursday, Jan. 8. The next semifinal between Oregon and Indiana takes place at Friday, Jan. 9.
