The Florida native is currently a senior at Riverview High School, where she has been a member of the varsity swim team since her freshman year. Robie also trains year-round with the Sarasota Sharks and specializes primarily in butterfly, middle-distance freestyle, and IM.
Robie has consistently improved from season to season, dropping from 56.63 to 55.99 in the 100 fly, 2:00.82 to 2:00.12 in the 200 fly, and 1:51.06 to 1:50.53 in the 200 free over the past year. Her best times of 2:03.20/4:17.02 in the IMs date back to late 2024, while her 4:52.28 500 free personal best was set in November 2023.
At FHSAA States, Robie didn’t make it out of prelims as a freshman but has qualified for finals every year since. As a sophomore, she finished second in the 500 free with her current personal best and ninth in the 200 free (1:51.06). As a junior in 2024, she placed fifth in the 500 (4:52.53) and 12th in the 200 (1:51.20). Last month, she touched fourth in the 500 free (4:55.97) and seventh in the 200 free (1:50.53), marking her first time making two ‘A’ finals.
At her first Winter Junior Championships last December, Robie made the ‘B’ final of the 400 IM and placed 15th with her current lifetime best (4:17.02). She also qualified for the ‘C’ final of the 200 fly, swimming her current best (2:00.12) en route to 20th, and placed 41st in the 500 free (4:55.22), 72nd in the 200 IM (2:04.81), and 90th in the 200 free (1:52.57).
Earlier this month, she finished 23rd in the 400 IM (4:19.78) and 1000 free (10:04.64), 28th in the 200 fly (2:01.66), 29th in the 500 free (4:53.78), and 84th in the 200 free (1:52.52).
Top SCY Times: 100 Butterfly: 55.99 200 Butterfly: 2:00.12 200 IM: 2:03.20 400 IM: 4:17.02 200 Freestyle: 1:50.53 500 Freestyle: 4:52.28South Carolina, guided by head coach Jeff Poppell, delivered a strong showing at the 2025 SEC Championships, finishing fifth in a competitive 13-team field.
The Gamecocks carried that momentum into the NCAA Championships, where they placed 24th overall with 28 team points. Senior Greta Pelzek led the way with 11 points from an eighth-place finish in the 200 fly, while junior Amy Riordan added two points with a 15th-place result in the 200 back. Junior diver Sophie Verzyl accounted for the final 15 points, earning ninth in the 1-meter and 11th in the 3-meter events.
At the 2025 SEC Championships, where the top 24 finishers across the ‘A,’ ‘B,’ and ‘C’ finals scored points, it took times of 52.92/1:57.21 in the fly, 1:59.04/4:14.85 in the IM, and 1:46.68/4:44.88 in middle-distance free to earn a second swim.
On the team’s 2024-25 depth chart, Robie would have ranked fifth in the 200 fly and 400 IM, ninth in the 200 IM, 11th in the 500 free, 12th in the 200 free, and 14th in the 100 fly. As she develops and the roster evolves through graduation, she is well-positioned to become one of the team’s premier swimmers in the 200 fly and 400 IM, with the potential to develop into an SEC scorer.
Robie joins Farrah Klein (Dix Hills, N.Y.), Agatha Amaral (Kissimmee, Fla.), Sophie Fox (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.), and Kaitlyn Kolessar (Aston, Pa.) in committing to South Carolina’s class of 2030, who should all make for strong training partners over their four years together.
