Evelyn Jezerinac, who represents Stingrays Swimming and attends Harrison High School in Kennesaw, GA, has added another commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks’ Class of 2026.
In her commitment announcement, she specifically thanked her family, friends, and coaches, writing:
I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Arkansas!! I would like to thank my family and friends for their unwavering support throughout this process and all of my coaches who have helped me get to where I am today. Huge thanks to Coach Neil and the staff at Arkansas for this incredible opportunity. Can’t wait to be a Razorback!!

Jezerinac is a two-time Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke, having won the 7A title in 2023 before capturing the 6A crown in 2025. Though she didn’t compete for her high school team as a sophomore, she returned this year to help Harrison take second overall with 269 points, finishing behind champion Brookwood (427 points). It was a major upgrade from the team’s fourth-place finish in 2024 when Jezerinac didn’t compete and its sixth-place finish in 2023 when it competed in the 7A division.
She’s shown improvement in all of her primary events each year of her career. Over the past 12 months, she has dropped her 100 breast from 1:02.15 to 1:01.39, her 200 breast from 2:17.52 to 2:16.58, and her 200 IM from 2:08.74 to 2:05.52.
Her best times in all three primary events have come from local club meets. She swam 1:01.39 and 2:16.58 in the breaststroke events at the Southeastern Meet of Champions in March, and posted her 2:05.52 200 IM at the Woodie B. Malone Invitational last month.
Jezerinac qualified for the Winter Junior Championships in both 2024 and 2025. In 2024, she placed 26th in the 100 breast (1:02.72) and 61st in the 200 breast (2:19.72), while earlier this month she touched 49th in the 100 breast (1:03.94), 67th in the 200 breast (2:22.16), and 91st in the 200 IM (2:06.77).
Over the summer, she qualified to compete at the U.S. National Championships, which doubled as the selection meet for Team USA’s World Championship roster. There, she touched the wall 44th in the 50m breast (33.47) and 53rd in the 100m breast (1:15.06). Her best time of 32.63 in the 50m was set in July 2024, and her 1:12.72 in the 100m was swum back in July 2023.

100 Breaststroke: 1:01.39 200 Breaststroke: 2:16.58 200 IM: 2:05.52At the 2025 SEC meet, times of 1:01.00/2:12.89 were needed to score in the breaststrokes, while 1:59.04 was the cutoff in the 200 IM. Based on those standards, she’s only four tenths shy in the 100 breast, but her 200s will need to make a major leap during her freshman year to contend.
Beyond the conference level, Chandler will be a key contributor for the Razorbacks in dual meets. On the team’s 2024-25 depth charts, she would have ranked second in the 100 breast and third in the 200 breast and 200 IM.
While those above her on the depth chart will be graduated by the time she arrives in Fayetteville, the team is reloading with breaststrokers, highlighted by World Junior Champion Rachel McAlpin (1:01.19/2:17.10) and Ellery Chandler (1:01.60/2:18.57).
Joining Jezerinac, McAlpin, and Chandler in the class of 2031 are sisters Hayden Gibson (back/free) and Riley Gibson (IM/free).
