Wide receiver Eugene “Tre” Wilson III told On3 on Wednesday afternoon that he’ll be entering the transfer portal when it officially opens on Jan. 2. The redshirt sophomore has spent 3 years at Florida, piling up 1,043 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns during his time in Gainesville.

In a 2024 season that was marred by a minor knee surgery and season-ending hip surgery, Wilson only caught 19 balls for 266 yards and 1 touchdown.
This past fall, which has turned out to be his last in Gainesville, Wilson caught 27 passes for 239 yards and 3 TDs. Once again, injuries got in Wilson’s way in 2025. He suffered an ankle injury against Georgia on Nov. 1 and missed Florida’s final 4 games of a lost season.
Because he’s a redshirt sophomore, Wilson have 2 more years of eligibility starting next fall.
Wherever Wilson winds up in 2026, he’ll hope to finally be healthy after injuries crushed him during his years at Florida.
