The City of Cupertino is accepting applications for one unscheduled vacancy on the Public Safety Commission. This appointment is for a partial term of less than two years, expiring on Jan. 30, 2027, and doesn’t count toward a full term. Applicants must live in Cupertino.

Holiday tote decorating
Teens ages 12-18 can come to the Cupertino Library on Saturday, Dec. 20, 3-5 p.m., to decorate and color holiday tote bags. All supplies will be provided, and there’s room for 18 participants on a first come, first served basis.
Freedom Readers
Freedom Readers is a banned or challenged graphic novel book club for grades 5-8 at the Cupertino Library. According to the library’s website, the book club “celebrates the freedom to read through diverse characters and experiences. Participants will engage with their peers in conversations and do a book-related craft.”
The club will discuss “Borders” by Thomas King on Monday, Dec. 29, 2-3 p.m. Sign up at the children’s desk.
