Damascus, Dec. 13, (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa convened a meeting on Saturday with notables and community leaders representing the governorates of Latakia and Tartous, in the presence of Lattakia Governor Mohammad Othman and Tartous Governor Ahmad al-Shami.
During the meeting, held at the People’s Palace in Damascus, President al-Sharaa affirmed that Syria is moving into a transitional phase of state reconstruction based on stability and popular participation, stressing that the state harbors no exclusionary or retaliatory tendencies toward any component of society.
He emphasized that Syria is a state of citizenship, committed to justice and the protection of the rights of all Syrians, highlighting the importance of national unity as a cornerstone of the country’s future.
Participants, for their part, stressed the importance of consolidating civil peace and the rule of law, and called for the development of an investment roadmap for the coastal region to promote development efforts and create job opportunities.
