This was supposed to be an exciting matchup at the United Center. Connor Bedard emerging as a bona fide superstar in the league. Patrick Kane three goals away from 500 in his career. Chris Chelios bobblehead night (in a black jersey). The Blackhawks celebrating the Madhouse chapter of their Centennial programming (really exciting stuff coming so tune in / get to your seats early).
And then Bedard got hurt last night. A bummer for sure, but Nick Lardis will make his regular season NHL debut tonight! Head coach Jeff Blashill wouldn’t give away his entire lineup this morning, but did give us a few nuggets. There wasn’t a morning skate, so the lines below are purely based on how I think it’ll look tonight. We’ll know more after warmups.
