FDA Issues Warning for Nine Additional Cookware Brands Over Concerns of Lead-Leaching

Unless they, too, become harbingers of toxicity that makes us want to do nothing more than melt into a puddle in the middle of the cookware aisle. Unfortunately, the FDA just added nine more brands to an ongoing list of aluminum and brass cookware that have been found to leach toxic levels of lead into food, rendering it unsafe for human consumption. In August, the FDA warned consumers about certain imported cookware that could leach significant levels of lead into food due to being made with aluminum alloys known as "Hindalium/Hindolium or Indalium/Indolium."
