Luke Bickett, 15, Jersey Wahoos (MA): Bickett went five-for-six in personal best times at the Jersey Wahoos Thanksgiving ABBC Meet last weekend, producing some noteworthy results in the individual medley and breaststroke events. In the 200 IM, Bickett dropped more than two seconds to clock 1:52.45, ranking him 11th this season among 15-year-olds, while in the 400 IM, he chopped off a second in 4:01.25 to rank 17th this season in his age category. In the breast events, Bickett set PBs of 57.99 in the 100 and 2:05.39 in the 200, ranking 31st and 20th this season among 15-year-olds, respectively. He added a best of 4:38.56 in the 500 free, and narrowly missed his best time by clocking 47.79 in the 100 free.
Sadie Allen, 12, Crawfish Aquatics (LA): Allen put up six lifetime bests at the Crawfish November Classic last weekend in Baton Rouge, climbing the girls’ 11-12 age group rankings this season. Allen moved to 1st this season among 11-12 girls in both the 50 free (24.38) and 100 IM (59.64), also cracking the top 100 all-time in the latter (t-94th). She also moves to 2nd this season in the age group in the 50 back (27.41) and 100 back (58.94), 3rd in the 100 fly (57.66), and 4th in the 100 free.
Nico Lahre, 10, BGC-N. Westchester Marlins (MR): Lahre established seven lifetime bests at the Condors November IMX Invitational last weekend in West Nyack, N.Y., highlighted by a pair of big swims in the 100 back and 200 IM. The 10-year-old lowered his month-old best time of 1:03.56 in the 100 back down to 1:02.19, ranking him 25th all-time in the boys’ 10 & under age group and 2nd this season. In the 200 IM, his time of 2:16.12 ranks 19th all-time in the age group and 2nd this season. He also now ranks 1st this season among 10 & under boys in the 200 back (2:15.93), though all-time rankings aren’t tracked for 10 & unders in stroke 200 events. He added bests in the 50 free (26.96), 200 free (2:04.56), 50 back (30.09) and 100 breast (1:18.09), moving to 3rd in the seasonal rankings in the 200 free, 7th in the 50 back and 12th in the 50 free.
Evyn Cain, 12, Woodson Y Northern Swimmers (WI): Cain set six personal best times at the Western Great Lakes Open last weekend in Brown Deer, Wis., highlighted by her swim in the 100 fly. The 12-year-old Woodson Y Northern Swimmers product clocked 59.10 in the prelims, breaking 1:00 for the first time as she takes down her previous best of 1:00.27 set in March. The swim ranks her 10th in the country this season in the girls’ 11-12 age group. She also moved to 21st in the 50 fly (27.36) and 19th in the 100 IM (1:02.85), and added best times in the 50 free (25.99), 50 back (29.50), and 200 IM (2:16.10).
Gabby Green, 14, Parkway-Rockwood Gateway Swim Club (OZ): Like Cain, Green set six best times last weekend, with her best swim also coming in the 100 fly. At the Ozark ‘A’ Championships in Carbondale, Ill., Green blasted to a time of 54.79 in the girls’ 100 fly final, shattering her previous best of 56.49 and moving into 3rd in the girls’ 13-14 age group this season. She also put up a time of 2:01.56 in the 200 fly to rank 4th in the age group this season, while her swims in the 500 free (4:57.07) and 400 IM (4:23.70) both rank 11th. She added bests in the 50 free (24.69) and 100 free (52.92).
