A large emergency response from police and fire officials could be seen outside an elementary school in Chicago Wednesday, with flashing lights and extended fire ladders visible from I-94.
Around 6:30 p.m., heavy police and fire response was present on the 7200 block of South State Street in Chicago’s Park Manor neighborhood.
Video on social media showed several ambulances, police vehicles and fire trucks surrounding Deneen Elementary School, located at 7257 South State Street.
The Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Public Schools did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s inquiries.
