The Atlanta Falcons were the highest recommended D/ST waiver wire pickups this week.
Analysis
Falcons — Rostered in 49% of Yahoo Leagues
If the Rams are unavailable, the Falcons have also been impressive lately, and they also have a couple of great matchups on the horizon. They might be the best play in fantasy in Week 13 against the Jets, and you can probably play them every week until they meet the Rams in the fantasy championship.

What is another Matchup to Exploit in the Fantasy Football Defense Rankings?
The Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams stick out with a positive matchup during Week 13.
Analysis
Chargers vs. RaidersThe Raiders have become a mainstay in this weekly column, and for good reason—it keeps paying off. Last week’s matchup against Cleveland wasn’t an ideal setup on paper, but Geno Smith still managed to take a jaw-dropping 10 sacks against that ferocious Browns front. That marks the sixth game this season where he’s taken at least four sacks, and that level of pressure absorption is one of the key reasons Las Vegas now ranks dead last in 4for4’s schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses.
The Chargers’ defensive line may no longer be among the league’s elite, but against a Raiders offensive line that has been reshuffled and battered for weeks, they should be able to get home. Edge rusher Khalil Mack is still generating heat, and the secondary has shown occasional signs of life when the pass rush lands. With the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense outside of Brock Bowers still struggling to sustain drives, the Bolts make for a solid Week 13 streaming play.
Rams @ PanthersSpeaking of mismatched trenches, the Carolina offensive line continues to be an injury carousel. Last week, right guard Chandler Zavala exited with a calf injury, which could lead to the sixth different player starting at that spot. There’s also a chance center Austin Corbett is shifted again, depending on the Panthers’ last-minute shuffling.
Whatever combo they roll out will be at a disadvantage. The Rams rank sixth in overall pressure rate (40.9%) and third in DT-generated pressure (17.2%), making life miserable for interior linemen. Kobie Turner should be able to collapse the pocket early and often. Against a Panthers team that struggles to protect Bryce Young and rarely puts up points, the Rams are a top-tier D/ST play this week.
