Outside of the 50 fly, Kharun won the 200 fly by nearly four seconds, clocking 1:37.56 to rank #2 in the NCAA this season, just behind the 1:36.41 NCAA Record that Georgia junior Luca Urlando threw down less than 24 hours ago.
Yesterday, in the first meet of the tournament, Kharun won the 100 fly in 43.80, his third-fastest time ever. He currently leads the nation in that distance with his season-best 43.55 from a dual meet versus USC earlier in the month. He also helped ASU win the 400 medley and 400 free relays, producing splits of 43.35 and a 41.27 leadoff on the free—his second-quickest of the season behind the 41.23 he swam at the USC dual meet and his fourth-fastest ever. His best remains the 41.03 he clocked at the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown last January.
