According to Stereogum, the Dublin concert promoter Foggy Notions emailed out details for a special live event happening at a surprise location on Monday. The show ended up happening on Wednesday night at the National Stadium, a boxing/wrestling facility that doubles as a music venue and holds around 2,000 people.
The band, which consists of members Bilinda Butcher, Kevin Shields, Debbie Googie and Colm Ó Cíosóig, performed many of their top hits, including "When You Sleep" and "Soon." They also performed multiple songs from their albums and deep cuts, such as "Off Your Face" for the very first time.

Following several unsuccessful early releases and membership changes, My Bloody Valentine signed to Creation Records in 1988. The band released several successful EPs and the albums Isn't Anything in 1988 and Loveless in 1991. However, My Bloody Valentine were dropped by Creation after its release due to the album's extensive production costs. A year later, the band signed to Island Records and recorded several albums' worth of unreleased material, but remained largely inactive.
