Tempe — Arizona State Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham was unable to give a definitive response on Wednesday as to whether wide receiver Jordyn Tyson would be able play Saturday against Colorado.
Tyson’s timeline had been tracking for him to return this week. He has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury he suffered during Week 8 against Texas Tech.
Whether or not Tyson plays on Saturday will depend on his recovery following his first practice where he participated in 11-on-11 drills.
“Tomorrow is a big day, because we’ll see how he feels after being in there a little bit,” Dillingham said Wednesday. “But he moved around pretty good today, honestly better than I expected. So now we’ve got to see how his body responds to that”

Dillingham said Monday that Tyson would be working up to game speed this week.
The wide receiver is not quite there yet, but could be at that level by the end of the week.
“It still wasn’t full speed,” Dillingham said. “He was going about 85, 90%. So we’ll see how his body responds tomorrow with a really light workload today and then go from there on Friday.”
Even though his injury has cost him three games, Tyson remains second among Big 12 players in receiving touchdowns and total receptions with eight and 57 respectively. His 628 receiving yards rank 12th in the conference.
