ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rahjule Keeton, the 21-year-old man arrested this week in the 2022 deadly robbery of a Rochester musician, is also a suspect in a car dealership break-in, Rochester Police have confirmed.
Keeton and two other men were arrested in March, accused of breaking into Van Bortel in Perinton. Deputies say that, after the break-in, the men were found in a Chevy Malibu parked behind a building near the dealership. All were charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Keeton was issued an appearance ticket.
Keeton is also accused of shooting and killing 29-year-old James Hallenbeck as he was walking on Olean Street three years ago. RPD leaders and Hallenbeck’s mother spoke on Tuesday about the arrest, saying two people were following Hallenbeck and took off after the murder.
